It’s been a big year at the Bullseye—we introduced even more incredible owned brands, created truly magical experiences for our guests, invested in our team and stores, delivered strong business results quarter after quarter and oh-so-much more. So before we tie the bow on 2019, we’re taking a little stroll down memory lane to celebrate just a few of the ways we’ve brought big doses of joy to our guests’ everyday lives this past year…

Making a splash
This spring we debuted our designer partnership with vineyard vines, featuring over 300 bold-printed items across home and outdoor goods, apparel and accessories, swim—even pets!

Getting comfy
Our in-house design experts spoke to hundreds of women of all ages, shapes and sizes to deliver Auden, Stars Above and Colsie—new intimates and lounge brands that help our guests feel comfortable and confident. To bring the experience to life, we also revamped the entire shopping experience.

Hitting the road
This summer, we expanded our top-rated Drive Up service to guests in all 50 states. Proud moment: Target’s the first retailer to have a service like Drive Up in every state.

Whipping up something delicious
We also introduced new food & beverage owned brand, Good & Gather. It’s quality dairy, produce, ready-made pastas, meats and more—without artificial flavors, synthetic colors, artificial sweeteners or high fructose corn syrup, all at a fantastic value.

Reaching a makeover milestone
We marked the completion of 100 small-format stores and 500 remodels, too—helping us bring Target joy to more guests across the country. And we’re not done yet: We’re on track to remodel 1,000 stores by the end of 2020 and open dozens of small formats each year.

Designing for tomorrow
One year into our Future at Heart corporate responsibility strategy, we’ve already made important strides. Like announcing new climate goals to reduce greenhouse gas emissions across our supply chain and a commitment to source 100% of our electricity from renewable sources by 2030 for our domestic operations.

Creating some Disney magic
In August, we set out on a new adventure with Disney to bring magical shopping experiences to our guests. In October, the first 25 Disney stores at Target opened across the U.S., along with a fun new digital experience at Target.com.

Celebrating 20 years
In September we marked two decades of bringing accessible design to the masses by reissuing 300 past designer collaboration pieces (think iconic Missoni zigzags and Lilly Pulitzer florals) and releasing a behind-the-scenes coffee table book chronicling the history of design at Target.

Rewarding our guests
We also rolled out our new (totally free) loyalty program, Target Circle, nationwide. It’s packed with personalized offers, fun surprises and amazing savings. Plus, guests can support local nonprofits as they shop.

Taking care of our team
We transformed what it means to work at a Target store to better serve our guests. We raised our minimum hourly wage to $13 an hour, on our way to $15 by the end of 2020. And we introduced exciting new family care benefits.

Making big strides on our diversity and inclusion journey
We’re hard at work to make more progress on our next set of three-year diversity and inclusion goals. And our commitment has been recognized by organizations like DiversityInc and Tanenbaum.

Adding a pop of blue jeans to our stores
To celebrate amazing results from 2018’s holiday season, we permanently changed our store dress code to include denim—all to say “thanks” to our amazing team members.

And there’s so much more joy to come in 2020, so stay tuned to A Bullseye View for the latest and greatest Target moments.
