Target Procurement is the driver of how we get the right product to the right guest better and faster, activating our mission of joy to impact thousands of lives daily. We deliver the convenience and immediate gratification our guests desire and deserve when they shop in our stores or on Target.com. A role in Target Procurement means managing the inbound throughput and placement of the indirect materials required to operate Target stores and distribution centers. The Indirect Inventory team is responsible for demand intake, ordering, and tracking the non-retail products (e.g. Fixtures) that are required to operate both Target stores and distribution centers and providing timely visibility to Enterprise partners.
A role in Indirect Inventory (II) means managing the inbound throughput and placement of the indirect materials that are required to operate Target stores and distribution centers. As a member of the II team, you will establish optimal inventory management strategies for our Remodel stores non-retail parts (fixtures) used to display product on the sales floor. The Inventory Analyst – Remodels is responsible for delivering inventory set strategies to enhance the physical experience in existing stores.
As an Inventory Analyst, you will:
· Use the right combination of data and expertise to achieve the best possible indirect inventory availability to support all In Store Delivery (ISD) dates for Remodels, and new Enterprise Initiatives.
· Execute timely, accurate ordering and be responsible for inventory management processes based on the inventory’s position in the supply chain: inbound, on-hand, and/or outbound
· Leverage problem solving skills to research issues, gather key data and identify trends from various sources of information, and develop solutions in a fast-paced environment
· Become the expert: Demonstrate comprehensive understanding of key business drivers and implications of decisions; Build out new capabilities to improve business performance
· Deliver visibility to inventory strategies, risks, and outcomes by tracking key assumptions and progress towards critical project milestones; Deliver expeditious resolution of issues to make it easy for Stores to service Guests
· Collaborate effectively and develop a reputation of reliability and accountability across all internal and external partners; Approach adversity with composure and with a clear focus on delivering the best solution for the Guest
· Scope of work and Job duties may change at any time based on business needs.
Local candidates will be expected to work a minimum of 1 day in office which is Wednesday. The office location is in Brooklyn Park at our Target Northern Campus. Targets return to office strategy is fluid and in office requirements may increase over time.
About you:
· Four year degree or equivalent experience in Business, Supply Chain, or related field
· Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with internal and external audiences
· A performance driven individual who demonstrates strong initiative
· Ability to demonstrate curiosity and quick learning in a manual environment
· Ability to manage, interpret, and maintain organization of large amount of data
· Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and act with urgency
· Comfortable with ambiguity
· Ability to adapt to changing priorities and processes; and willingness to drive the change when necessary to achieve better outcomes
This position will operate as a Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement based on Target’s needs. A Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement means the team member’s core role will need to be performed both onsite at the Target HQ MN location the role is assigned to and virtually, depending upon what your role, team and tasks require for that day.
