The pay range is $95,000.00 - $171,000.00

As a Senior Technical Developer of Adaptive & Multicultural, you will develop and execute the technical development process that ensures product adherence to the quality standards established for Target-owned brands. Under the overall direction of the Senior Director, you will interpret designer’s concepts, usher product through its development lifecycle, and provide technical product guidance to design, sourcing and merchant teams. You will be responsible for understanding the business’ initiatives, product functional requirements, and performance expectations to ensure consistency of product while proactively supporting technical solutions. In addition, you will support and be responsible for providing effective product technical specifications and product quality standards to include: raw materials, fit/function, construction details, and product dimensions. In partnership with internal and external partners, you’ll ensure the brand vision is appropriately executed, work to identify and address manufacturing issues, and co-develop products. Likewise, you’ll stay current on benchmarks for specified product categories to ensure Target product meets or exceeds the performance of the competitors’ product.

About You:
• Four-year degree in Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Product Development, or related field, or equivalent experience
• 4+ years of relevant product engineering experience in apparel and home categories
• Knowledge of testing, safety and legal requirements for consumer products
• Knowledge of applicable raw materials and their performance and usage
• Strong knowledge of various 2-D and/or 3-D CAD software packages
• Exhibits a working knowledge of product manufacturing
• Ability to build strong relationships in order to successfully work in a team environment

This position will operate as a Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement based on Target’s needs. A Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement means the team member’s core role will need to be performed both onsite at the Target HQ MN location the role is assigned to and virtually, depending upon what your role, team and tasks require for that day.
