Here, we pride ourselves on designing tangible, inspiring, and impactful solutions that serve all aspects of our business– and being a part of the team means you will play a critical role for Target’s digital experience by increasing ease, simplicity, value, and delight for every touchpoint.
As a Lead Accessibility Consultant on the Digital Accessibility team, you’ll work alongside teams of developers, designers and product owners that are responsible for creating world-class accessible experiences for Target Guests and Target Team Members. This includes the creation of entirely new experiences, as well as improvements to existing ones. You’ll be well-positioned to make an impact as a Lead Accessibility Consultant working on friendly and high-performing teams operating at the heart of Target’s growing digital business. You’ll drive our team strategies and help mentor and up-skill our own team’s capabilities.
In this role, you will be involved in the full product development cycle, providing accessibility consultation during the ideation, design, development and testing phases, providing final sign off prior to the experience being launched. You’ll use your WCAG knowledge to guide your partners in the design and development of innovative and accessible digital experiences. You’ll do this by experimenting and collaborating, through product discovery and design sprints, with both next-generation ideas and optimizations of current experiences in support of Target’s business strategies.
You’ll bring empathy and guest insights to every business problem. You’ll participate in guest research and leverage data to inform design decisions. You’ll help to define objectives and results with product, design, engineering and business partners. You’ll push work forward with high standards and an approach that follows the voice of the guest. You’ll collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team of leaders, product designers, content designers, engineers, product managers, data analysts and researchers.
You’ll constructively challenge current thinking across the enterprise, pushing boundaries and driving change that will deliver exceptional user-centric accessible experiences at scale. You’re a storyteller by nature, and you thrive on building relationships. You’re a proactive agent of change with a bias toward action. You’re skilled at influencing partners and working in a matrixed environment to develop and improve organization level processes.
You’ll be the master of your own destiny in an environment that has strong support for work-life balance. We’ll support you along the way with robust onboarding, as well as personal and career development, to help you grow as a Lead Accessibility Consultant.
