The Enterprise Competitive Intelligence Product Portfolio Vision
We enable competitive intelligence (CI) across the enterprise by supporting not only pricing for competitively shopped items across Target stores and online, but also a wide range of CI-driven use cases. As a centralized platform for competitor data, we serve as a one-stop shop for enterprise teams, powering decisions across pricing, assortment, promotions, and strategy. We enhance the guest experience by delivering timely, accurate, and actionable insights through robust collection and utilization of competitor data.
Product Teams at Target are accountable for delivering business outcomes through scalable, reliable, and user-centric technology platforms. This role operates across the Competitive Intelligence product portfolio and owns the end-to-end ecosystem including vendor management, data acquisition, ingestion pipelines, and CI platform experience. It is responsible for ensuring high-quality, timely, and consistent competitor data, enabling seamless integration, strong data governance, and intuitive product interfaces that support enterprise-wide decision-making.
Role overview:
As a Sr Product Manager in Competitive Intelligence, you will own the end-to-end ecosystem spanning vendor management, data acquisition, ingestion, and CI product experience, in addition to driving data insights. This role is responsible for managing the full vendor lifecycle—including evaluation, onboarding, performance management, and continuous capability assessment—while ensuring strong cost governance and value realization from vendor partnerships.
A core focus area is the data gathering and ingestion layer, where you will drive scalable and reliable ingestion pipelines across multiple vendors and sources. This includes defining integration frameworks (APIs, pipelines), establishing data validation and quality mechanisms, and optimizing for speed, stability, and coverage of competitive data.
You will also own and enhance the Competitive Intelligence publish experience ensuring that ingested data is translated into intuitive, actionable, and high-adoption tools for pricing and broader business teams. This involves close collaboration with engineering, data science, analytics, and business stakeholders to deliver seamless user experiences and enable effective decision-making.
Overall, this role owns a platform-oriented product scope, covering vendor ecosystem management, data ingestion infrastructure, and CI product experience, while enabling high-quality data delivery and business outcomes across the pricing and broader competitive intelligence portfolio.
