The pay range is $95,000.00 - $171,000.00

As a Lead Consultant, Executive Development, you will lead the design and implementation of immersive executive development experiences (“Immersions”) in service of business and leadership priorities. Immersions are designed to bring senior leaders closer to the day-to-day realities of the business, strengthen leadership connection across the enterprise and one deepen understanding of the teams, guests and communities they serve.

You will independently design and implement Immersions for senior leaders by translating organizational priorities and leadership themes into impactful participant experiences. As a lead consultant, you will shape the participant journey and overall learning experience for senior leaders.

You will work at the center of a dynamic ecosystem, partnering with internal teams and external collaborators to ensure every element of the experience – content, flow, environment, interaction – feels cohesive, intentional and elevated.

You will partner closely with senior leaders, internal stakeholders, external organizations and operational partners to deliver high-impact leadership experiences that strengthen leadership engagement and connection to the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Independently design and lead the implementation of immersive experiences aligned to enterprise strategy and business & leadership priorities.
  • Translate strategic direction into immersion executive experiences through a balance of experience design, innovation, stakeholder partnership and leadership development.
  • Build and manage relationships with internal partners, stores teams, community organizations, vendors, and local stakeholders to support immersion delivery.
  • Partner with senior leader hosts / facilitators to align on participant outcomes / focus, agenda and flow of the participant experience.
  • Lead orchestration of complex, highly-visible experiences, involving executive participants and internal / external partners.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance effectiveness, participant engagement and innovation within and across immersive experiences.
  • Navigate ambiguity, solve design challenges and independently drive work forward in fast-paced, high-profile environments.
  • Support measurement and evaluation efforts to assess Immersion effectiveness and inform future improvements.
  • Informally coach and guide operational partners supporting immersion delivery and execution.
  • Contribute thought partnership and recommendations regarding future experience enhancements and operational evolution.

About You:

  • Experience designing and implementing complex leadership, learning or experiential programming.
  • Executive presence and experience consulting with and interacting professionally with senior leaders and enterprise stakeholders.
  • Strong relationship management and cross-functional partnership skills.
  • Ability to independently manage competing priorities across executive stakeholders, operational dependencies and evolving experience dynamics.
  • Strong organization skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong problem-solving capability and comfort navigating ambiguity and evolving priorities.
  • Ability to translate broad strategic direction into actionable participant experiences.
  • Experience facilitating executive learning experiences preferred.
  • Experience managing community stakeholders and high-touch experiences preferred.
  • Ability to travel up to 25%

This position will operate as a Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement based on Target’s needs. A Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement means the team member’s core role will need to be performed both onsite at the Target HQ MN location the role is assigned to and virtually, depending upon what your role, team and tasks require for that day.
