Role Overview

As the Process Governance Analyst in the Target Plus team you will focus on driving continuous improvement, implementing governance structures, and using data analytics to optimize operations and ensure compliance. The role involves a blend of process mapping, project management, and data-driven decision-making in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Process Improvement & Optimization:Identify opportunities to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and standardize workflows using Lean Six-Sigma concepts and other continuous improvement methodologies. This includes performing process and value stream mapping, root cause analysis, and Kaizen events.
  • Governance and Compliance: Design and implement governance structures and mechanisms to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations. This might involve supporting audits, managing risk, and maintaining documentation for internal controls.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting:Utilize advanced data analysis skills (SQL, Excel, BI tools like Tableau) to dive deep into complex data, uncover actionable insights, and develop metrics and dashboards to monitor performance and compliance.
  • Project and Program Management: Deliver moderately complex process improvement projects from initiation to delivery, ensuring they meet specified timelines and deliver expected results (ROI, customer satisfaction).
  • Stakeholder Management & Influence: Partner with cross-functional teams (e.g., Legal, HR, Finance, Operations, Tech teams) and senior leaders to gather requirements, align on goals, influence change, and resolve conflicts.
  • Automation & Standardization:Identify and implement opportunities for automation of reports and processes to enhance efficiency and scalability. 

Essential Skills and Qualifications

  • Education: A bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Engineering, Data Science, or a related analytical field is typically required. An advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., Lean Six Sigma Green/Black Belt, CPA) are preferred.
  • Experience:
  • Significant experience (typically 5+ years for Senior Analyst roles) in process improvement, program/project management, operations, or compliance roles.
  • Experience working with large, complex datasets and proficiency with data analysis tools like SQL, Excel, and data visualization platforms.
  • Proven ability to work successfully in an ambiguous and fast-paced environment.
  • Key Competencies:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to dive deep and perform critical thinking.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Bias for Action and a history of personal ownership to get the job done.
  • Ability to invent and simplify processes and find innovative solutions.
