PRIMARY FUNCTION:

Responsible for specific areas within Target India for direct tax, indirect tax function. The team member will ensure adherence to internal process and policy requirements, meeting service levels, working effectively with internal and external stakeholders to drive tax compliance.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collation of base reports, generation of trial balance and computation of monthly tax provision for business units
  • Collation of base reports, generation of trial balance and computation of advance tax for business units
  • Assist in preparation / compilation of information required for GST / other indirect tax returns and refund claims
  • Liaise with consultants for status of filings and refunds
  • Perform detailed search on TDS/ GST related queries raised by business teams and prepare necessary clarifications to share with seniors
  • Maintenance of LDC tracker
  • Provide necessary guidance / inputs to the business teams for income tax/ GST / other tax related matters
  • Assist / support for indirect tax assessments (GST/ Service tax / VAT and other indirect taxes), including compilation / provision of information as required by the tax authorities
  • Responsible for preparation of details for VAT Audits
  • Assist in preparation of Annual Income tax returns
  • Assist / support for income tax assessments (direct tax and transfer pricing), including providing information in relation to the assessments
  • Assist / provide information for tax appeals, advance rulings and any other interaction with regulatory authorities
  • Preparation of initial submissions to Income Tax/ GST department and assist in review of submissions prepared by consultants.
  • Coordination with external consultants for information requirements relating to direct and indirect tax assessments
  • Provide inputs on contract terms and consequent impact to taxability
  • Preparation of TDS related reports, returns
  • Collation and preparation of data for APA and MAP project
  • Ensure compliance with applicable internal controls, policies/ procedures including Internal Control for Financial Reporting; Foreign Corruption Practices Act (FCPA) and Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA)

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • CA with 1-3 years of post-qualification experience in tax function

DESIRED REQUIREMENTS:

  • From IT industry or Big Four audit teams
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent Communication skills
  • Excellent collaborator and go getter
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Working knowledge of SAP ERP
