Our Step Into the Holidays campaign is a bold, joyful celebration of the hottest items, only-at-Target experiences and magical moments that make the everyday extraordinary and turn holiday shopping into something you can look forward to.
More than 80% of parents say they’ve become the “Chief Joy Officer” in their families, taking on the responsibility of keeping everyone’s spirits high. The campaign recognizes the role parents play and shows how Target helps to make the holidays feel effortless, turning everyday shopping into something special.
The campaign features a delightful new holiday character: our 8-foot-tall Get-Ready Yeti. Born in the deep Alpine snow, the Get-Ready Yeti will start the season off by helping guests feel prepared. Once Black Friday hits, he transforms into Tinsel Yeti, our tinsel-skiing, party-mode holiday hype man delivering the hottest deals of the weekend.
Merging trend insights, cutting-edge design and technology, the resulting campaign is a cohesive, uplifting and magical story across every touchpoint, from TV, digital and marketing moments to immersive in-store experiences and more.

Step Into the Holidays
- Launching Nov. 2, Target's Step Into the Holidays campaign is another way we’re bringing magic to every holiday mission this season, and it’s coming to life wherever you shop Target — in our stores, online and in the Target app.
- Guests will Step Into the Holidays through a magical gondola — a portal that transforms the everyday into something extraordinary. The campaign is set to Benson Boone’s “Mystical Magical,” with choreography by Christopher Scott and highlights some of the season’s most covetable gifting and entertaining items. A few of Target’s top picks: beauty must-haves like e.l.f. lip oil and best-dressed picks from The Party Edit. Guests will also find entertaining essentials like Hearth & Hand with Magnolia glassware, a Target-exclusive InstaX camera, John Derian for Target glass ornaments and Favorite Day cocoa accessories for the perfect seasonal treat.
- Throughout the season, the campaign will introduce new ad spots and new holiday helpers beyond the Get-Ready Yeti. For the first time, Target has created a crew of original holiday characters, each designed to connect emotionally and symbolically to how guests celebrate gifting, gathering and cozying up. Guests will meet The Gifting Mice, a creative and playful crew that helps guests sprinkle a little extra magic into their wrapping, décor and more, and Buttons the Gingerbread, who brings ease and inspiration to the kitchen. The campaign creates a whimsical universe beyond static signage, using characters as emotional anchors that make guests feel something deeper: joy, nostalgia and connection.

Last year, consumers fell in love with Kris K. from Target, a charismatic store “team member” who starred in Target’s 2024 holiday marketing campaign. - On Oct. 26, the first broadcast spot debuted, highlighting holiday mission man Kris K.’s top gifts of the season. Additional spots will roll out throughout the season that further introduce consumers to more about Kris K. from Target beyond the store. The campaign’s adventures showcase how Target makes every shopping mission joyful, easy and uniquely magical.
- On Oct. 27, consumers will find Kris K. from Target across social platforms. A fun, tongue-in-cheek video features a Target guest who spots Kris K. in her local store. It’s the same guest who famously called him “weirdly hot” in last year’s broadcast spot — a playful nod to the cultural moment he created, and a perfect way to show that Kris K. is officially back for another season of holiday magic.
- The campaign includes 10 spots that will appear across broadcast, streaming, radio and social platforms.
- Consumers will also get to know more about Kris K. himself: He’s a football fanatic, avid traveler and amateur DJ who embodies the joyful, witty and effortlessly cool spirit of the holidays.
