Collectors, game lovers and Target fans, rejoice! Target and Hasbro have teamed up to create a one-of-a-kind Bullseye edition of Monopoly, and passing GO has never felt this good. We’ve got your sneak peek (and preorder details) before the game debuts later this summer.
It’s been a big year for toys and games as families spent more time together at home, and Target continues to be guests’ go-to for all the best games. (After all, sparking joy and creating memorable moments is kind of our specialty.) In 2020 alone, we sold enough Operation games that every surgeon in the U.S. could’ve received one — for fun, not practice, of course. Puzzles were also a major hit last year, with Target selling over 5.5 million. (That’s over 4.2 billion puzzle pieces and not a single piece was lost... probably.)
“Monopoly: Target Edition is the latest example of how we are always exploring new ways to spark moments of joy with all of our guests within our curated assortment of fan-favorite and Target-exclusive games and toys,” says Nik Nayar, senior vice president, hardlines, Target. “Thanks to the collaboration between Target and Hasbro, guests will enjoy the magic of Monopoly with all of the excitement of the ‘Target Run’ at the table.”
It's still the classic Monopoly game you know and love ...
… but fans will be surprised to see a Target twist at every boardwalk. You’ll get to shop for Target items instead of buying property. Passing GO allows you to purchase items from your Target basket and earn saving tokens. Players can double or even triple their savings with Target Circle tokens, just like how guests save big with our Target Circle loyalty program in the real world. And it’s game over once all these tokens are placed on the board, so every purchase counts. The player with the most savings at checkout wins the game, earning bragging rights at their next family get-together.
