Military & Veteran Team Members and Guests

At Target, our business thrives when we create experiences that foster a sense of belonging for our team members, guests and communities. Belonging is at the core of our diversity, equity and inclusion strategy, which has helped our business grow for decades.

Military Business Council

The Military Business Council (MBC) employee resource group creates a community for team members to come together and support those who have served or are serving, including family, friends and allies. The MBC helps identify opportunities to better serve job candidates, team members and guests with military connections.

Honoring military service

Every November, the United States commemorates Veterans Day by saying thanks to those who have served or continue to serve our country. Since 2017, Target has extended a 10% military appreciation discount to all U.S. active-duty military personnel, veterans and their families to use in stores or online in early November. And we recently extended the discount to include Independence Day.

Supplier diversity

Target is committed to supporting a diverse range of suppliers so our guests can find the products they want and need, helping our business thrive. These partnerships take several forms, including providing access to our resources and expertise; sourcing from diverse creators, designers, vendors, agencies, contractors and suppliers; and mentoring.
