Target to Open New Store in Grandville, Mich.

Target (NYSE: TGT) today announces the opening of a new store in Grandville, Mich. in October 2012. With the opening of the new Grandville location, the Grand Rapids Southwest Target store in Jenison will relocate its operations to the new store and that location will close. All eligible team members will have the opportunity to transfer to the new Grandville store or other nearby Target stores.

“Target is excited to bring guests and team members the new Grandville store in October,” said Bryan Everett, Target’s senior vice president of Midwest stores. “The new location will allow us to better serve our guests and further enhance their shopping experience.”

The new Grandville Target, located at Southwest 44th Street and Southwest Ivanrest Avenue, will offer guests the everyday essentials and exclusive brands they have come to expect from Target. In addition, it will include a selection of fresh produce, fresh packaged meat and pre-packaged baked goods to provide one-stop shopping convenience to guests. The 135,000 square-foot store will employ approximately 200 team members.
