Target to Remodel Valley Stream Store on West Sunrise Highway

  • Apr 27, 2012
  • MINNEAPOLIS
Target Corporation (NYSE: TGT) will extensively remodel its Valley Steam, N.Y. store on West Sunrise Highway, bringing guests and team members a new, exceptional store experience this fall. Due to the significant demolition and construction work involved in the project, the store will temporarily close on April 29 with an anticipated reopening in the fall. Target will relocate all eligible team members to other nearby Target stores while the construction takes place.

During the remodel, the front of the store will be completely removed and rebuilt, adding more than 14,000 square feet to include additional amenities, such as an expanded fresh food layout and Starbucks. The project will also incorporate the latest merchandise reinventions in various areas of the store, reconstruct the store’s stock room and reconfigure the parking lot.

“Target is excited to bring guests and team members a new, improved Valley Stream store later this year,” said Samir Shah, Target’s senior vice president of East Coast stores. “Reinvesting in the store will allow us to better serve our guests and further enhance their shopping experience.”
