Target guests will have more reasons to use their gift cards beginning Monday, Dec. 26 with savings up to 50 percent off on popular women’s and kids’ apparel, and home and holiday decor in stores and online at Target.com. Doors will open at Target stores across the country at 7 a.m. on Monday.
“Target GiftCards are a popular Christmas gift, and with a sale of this magnitude, there’s no better time to use them than on Dec. 26,” said Kathee Tesija, executive vice president, Merchandising, Target.
Beginning on Dec. 26, which is historically the peak day for gift card redemption, shoppers will find deep discounts on hot items. Target’s great deals can be found in the Sunday weekly advertisement and on Target.com starting Dec. 25. Additionally, guests who want to redeem their gift cards on Target.com on Christmas day will receive $10 off purchases of $50 or more. Guests will be required to enter a promotional code (TGTGFT2U) in order to take advantage of this offer at checkout.
Target GiftCards Boast Convenience and Security
Although most Target guests redeem their gift cards within 60 days of receipt, Target GiftCards never expire and can be reloaded, free of charge, at any Target store or at Target.com. Gift cards purchased in stores can be loaded with any amount from $5 to $2,000. Gift cards purchased online at Target.com/GiftCards can be loaded in select denominations up to $1,000. For security, Target GiftCards feature a scratch-off panel to ensure that they are unused.
Target’s mobile GiftCards, with barcodes that can be scanned from a mobile phone’s screen at checkout, give guests another convenient way to shop.
Additional Everyday Savings
Throughout the year, Target offers guests ways to save with everyday low prices and pricing policies including:
- Target’s PriceMatch: If guests find a lower price on an identical item advertised locally by a competitor, Target will match the price during the effective date of the competitor’s advertisement.
- Target’s Price Adjustment Policy: If a guest purchases an item at Target, but sees it advertised by Target at a lower price during the same week of the purchase, or the week following the purchase date, the guest can bring the original receipt to the Guest Service desk and receive a price adjustment.
- Target REDCards: Guests can save an additional 5 percent on already low prices at Target and Target.com throughout the year. Guests who shop with any Target REDcard (Target Visa Credit Card, Target Credit Card, and Target Debit Card) or Target Business Card experience even greater value on all purchases with no minimum purchase and no membership fee.
