Beginning Sunday, Target will roll-out a new TV delivery and installation service for guests who purchase TVs in Target stores nationwide. Keeping with its commitment of offering a convenient and intuitive shopping experience, the new service will arrive just in time for the Super Bowl and provides additional value for busy shoppers looking to avoid the hassles that come with purchasing a new TV.
High-definition televisions led demand among all consumer electronics categories for the post-Thanksgiving weekend in 2009.* Taking advantage of this increased popularity in HD entertainment, Target’s TV delivery and installation service is the latest in a lineup of existing services that ties into the company’s brand promise of “Expect More, Pay Less.”
“Our goal is to create an intuitive and easy electronics shopping experience for our guests – ensuring they are 100 percent satisfied with the services they receive in-store, and with the products they take home,” said Mark Schindele, senior vice president, Target.
In partnership with Zip Express Installation, the nation’s premier consumer electronics installation provider with more than 16,000 installers coast-to-coast, Target's nationwide TV delivery and installation service includes professional set-up, installation and demonstration. Check points ensure all HD connections are working properly, cables are organized, wires are hidden and that all packaging materials are removed. The service guarantees a three-hour delivery window, one-hour installation window and also is available for TVs not purchased at Target.
Target’s nationwide TV delivery and installation service includes the following options:
- TV delivery and set-up starting at $99
- TV on–wall installation starting at $199
- TV recycling for $50
- Video game console set-up for $99
- Home network set-up for $99 (available on Target.com)
To provide guests with added convenience and a differentiated shopping experience in cell phones, Target is also piloting a full-service mobile solution service in over 100 stores. Bullseye Mobile Solutions is an in-store wireless service that enables Target guests to purchase mobile phones and activate contracts from three of the nation’s top carriers. This in-store kiosk provides guests with an edited assortment of cellular merchandise including handsets, chargers and cases.
