The Fourth of July has almost arrived, and Target’s here to help you celebrate with family, friends and delicious food. If you need inspiration for a fun feast that’s sure to impress, look no further. Target knows what consumers are cooking up this Fourth of July — right down to the state, as we took a closer look* at how guests across the country shop classic grilling favorites to settle the classic debate: hot dog or hamburger?
Which was deemed the most popular Fourth of July food for the grill? The iconic hot dog. In 75% of U.S. states, consumers prefer hot dogs over hamburgers (while Colorado, Kansas and New Mexico show that not everyone can decide between the two classics). And our guests prove there is still a lot of love for burgers, with 11 states purchasing more burgers than dogs. See below for each state’s stance.
