Volunteerism

Target’s commitment to the community is demonstrated in part through the time and talent contributed by our team members.

We are proud of our team members’ commitment to making our communities a better place to live and work through a variety of efforts such as pro bono services, helping to address food insecurity, keeping communities safe and clean and many more ways that match team members’ interests and local needs.

Target team members continue their commitment to communities by donating nearly 1million hours of volunteer service annually.*

Our team is generous with their time no matter the location or time of year, and rallies around several pro bono programs and moments such as Earth Month, National Volunteer Week, 9/11 Day of Service, our Annual Giving Campaign, Holiday and Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service.

Cleaning up Denver, one block at a time

In the Swansea neighborhood, Target team members partnered with Extreme Community Makeover to brighten homes through yardwork, painting and repairs.

It’s great to see companies like Target give time and space for their team members to give back to the local communities where their stores operate.

Team members taking action

In the wake of historic flooding in Texas in summer 2025, Target team members provided critical support, personally delivering supplies and supporting families affected.

Team member giving

Our team members have supported their communities through a giving campaign since 1962. Throughout 2024, Target team members demonstrated one of our core values of care by contributing over $1 million to the Team Member Giving Fund.
