Target’s commitment to the community is demonstrated in part through the time and talent contributed by our team members; the main measure of this commitment is volunteer hours. We are proud of our team members’ commitment to making our communities a better place to live and work through a variety of efforts such as park clean-ups, food bank packaging, virtual volunteering, and many more ways specific to activities that match team members interests. Target team members continue their commitment to communities by donating more than one million hours of volunteer service a year.

pro bono service

In 2020, Target launched pro bono consulting services for Black, Indigenous, and People of Color-owned small businesses in the Twin Cities to help with rebuilding efforts. Throughout 2021, the program will be expanding to more cities with the hope that we can extend our reach.

team member giving

Our team members have supported their communities through a giving campaign since 1962. In 2020, Target and individual team members donated more than $10 million, and team members also volunteered nearly 235,000 hours as part of our annual campaign.
