May is Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month — a time to learn about, uplift and honor the AAPI community’s experiences, culture and contributions to our history and world, while recognizing the challenges the community faces. At Target, we embrace and celebrate our AAPI team members, guests and communities this month, and all year long, through our Diversity, Equity and Inclusion commitments, by spotlighting AAPI-owned brands and by showing up for our AAPI team members and guests.

That's the theme for this year's AAPI Heritage Month celebration. Our Asian Business Council —an internal group focused on championing an inclusive work environment where Asian team members find belonging and growth — is shining a spotlight on the Asian American experience through team member events and opportunities to volunteer. And through our work with partners like the Asian American Business Development Center and Leadership Education for Asian Pacifics, Target is showing our commitment to addressing disparity and creating safe, inclusive environments where our AAPI team members and guests can thrive.
