Overview of the role:

As a Strategic Intelligence Sr. Insights Analyst, you will own the ongoing collection, cataloguing and maintenance of data sets utilizing a multitude of sources. You will build repeatable efficient processes using AI to expand the analytical rigor and coverage of our intelligence. You will support the Strategic Intelligence leads and directors in signalling meaningful developments in the landscape and developing executive ready intelligence pieces.

You will play a key role in bridging the gap between business and competition through research by collaborating with multiple stakeholders. As a Sr. Insights Analyst of Strategic Intelligence, you will report to the Director, Insights & Strategy, TII.

Responsibilities:

The candidate will be responsible for the following:

  • Leverage complex and extensive data sets to conduct analysis and maintain reporting on key and emerging retail, and competitor trends.
  • Develop sustainable routines to collect, catalogue and organize qualitative and quantitative intelligence across a broad range of companies, strategic themes and sources
  • Organize research, analyse raw information from multiple sources, remove bias, and structure clear actionable reports that can be leveraged by team
  • Exercise a continuous learning mindset to embrace the adoption of new sources and technologies like AI in a responsible and trustworthy manner
  • Leverage depth and breadth of internal and external data sources for supporting research projects
  • Respond with urgency to leadership ad hoc requests
  • Support ad-hoc analysis and data requests from Intelligence Leads, Principal and Directors.

Candidate should have:

  • Excellent attention to detail, methodical and well-organized
  • Experience collecting and cataloguing qualitative and quantitative data from syndicated and open sources
  • Experience converting large amounts of data into frameworks and tools that can be leveraged by others
  • Strong analytical skills and experience converting qualitative data into quantitative analysis
  • Skilled at driving structure out of ambiguity, defining key business questions, structuring analysis and navigate disparate insights
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, AI, and data visualization tools
  • Genuine curiosity with how things work; motivated, self-starter, team player
  • Ability to deal with multiple priorities and strong drive for results
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Background:

  • Four-year degree or equivalent experience
  • Retail/E-Commerce Experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of Market Research experience
  • Significant experience with different methods of quantitative, qualitative, syndicated and first-party insight tools
  • Experience analyzing syndicated and secondary data sources, as well as macro trend analysis
