Target Corporation (NYSE: TGT) is pleased to announce the opening of a new store in Holly Springs, N.C. in March 2013. This will be the first Target store in Holly Springs.

The Holly Springs store, located at North Carolina Highway 55 Bypass and New Hill Road, will offer guests the everyday essentials and exclusive brands they have come to expect from Target. In addition, it will include a selection of fresh produce, fresh packaged meat and pre-packaged baked goods to further enhance guests’ experience. The 135,000 square-foot store will employ approximately 200 team members.

“Target is excited to open its first store in Holly Springs,” said Samir Shah, Target’s senior vice president of East Coast stores. “We are committed to being a good neighbor to the Holly Springs and surrounding North Carolina communities, and developing long-lasting relationships with our guests.”

Target will host job fairs approximately two months prior to the new store opening, at which prospective candidates may apply and interview for open team member positions. Candidates may also apply online at Target.com/careers or at in-store kiosks located at all Target stores approximately three months prior to the new store opening.

Target creates strong partnerships with local organizations in all of the communities where the company does business through Target’s community giving programs. This store will start a local grant program, contribute to the United Way and donate food to a Feeding America member, or approved agency. Target also encourages team members to volunteer their time to serve the needs of their community.
