Target and The Heart of America Foundation to Celebrate Upcoming National Volunteer Week with Library Makeovers at Saint Paul Public and Minneapolis Public Schools
What:
Target and its non-profit partner, The Heart of America Foundation, announce that two local Twin Cities elementary schools will receive a complete library makeover in celebration of the upcoming National Volunteer Week. As part of the Target School Library Makeover program
and the company’s support of education and local schools nationwide, Target team member volunteers will contribute their time and talent over the next seven weeks to completely transform the libraries at Jackson Preparatory Magnet in St. Paul and Bancroft Elementary in Minneapolis.
The libraries will be renovated through light construction, new eco-friendly design elements, furniture, shelves, flooring, fresh paint and new computers. Target also will complete the libraries by donating 2,000 new books and awarding each student with seven new books to take
home. The newly-redesigned libraries will be unveiled the week of April 19.
