A home feels most inviting when it reflects the people who live there. That’s the philosophy behind the new Threshold – A Collection with @ThisOakHouse, created with author and creator Annie Meyers-Shyer. Inspired by her love of antiques, natural materials and timeless design, the exclusive assortment helps guests bring warmth, character and a collected feel to everyday spaces, with prices starting at just $25.
It’s collections like this that show how Target continues to lead with merchandising authority, bringing guests differentiated assortments that pair fresh creative perspectives with the great design and everyday affordability they’re looking for. Through collaborations with talent like Annie, Target is making elevated home decor more accessible for everyday living, with more designer collections to come that will help guests create homes they love.
The collection includes throw pillows, ceramic vases, hurricane vases, candle holders, faux greenery, a knit throw and Annie’s book, “This Oak House.” Each piece is designed to layer effortlessly with what guests already own, making it simple to refresh a space without starting from scratch.
“Guests want their homes to feel personal and inspiring, with great design that makes it easy to express their own style,” said Mara Sirhal, senior vice president, merchandising, home, Target. “As we reinvent Threshold throughout 2026, we’re building on what guests already love while sharpening the brand’s point of view with more distinctive design, elevated details and incredible value. Our collaboration with @ThisOakHouse is an exciting expression of where Threshold is headed, with much more to come.”
We caught up with Annie to learn more about the collection and the inspiration behind it.
What inspires your approach to creating a home, and how does that philosophy show up in this collection?
I really believe beautiful things should be part of everyday living. Good design shouldn’t depend on price point, and everyone deserves to live with things they find beautiful. That was the guiding idea behind this collection. I wanted to create pieces that feel timeless and elevated but are also accessible.
Do you have a few favorite pieces from the collection?
I honestly love all of them, but I’m especially excited about the hurricanes because I use them throughout my own home year-round. I also love the lumbar pillows because I designed them based on a look I was trying to find for my own home but never could. And the knit throw is so cozy while still feeling really chic.
What do you think makes a house feel like a home?
You do. The books you read, the family photos that adorn your shelves, the souvenirs from trips that hold sentimental meaning and the little things your kids make with their whole heart are what give a home its personality. And don’t save your favorite pieces for special occasions. Light the candles, fill the vase with flowers and keep the throw where you actually use it. A home should feel lived in, not staged.
What’s always in your Target cart?
Well, now it’ll always be Threshold – A Collection with @ThisOakHouse! But I also love that Target surprise where you go in for one thing and leave with a tray, a candle and a few things you didn’t know you needed. That’s always been part of the magic of Target.
