About us:

Working at Target means helping all families discover the joy of everyday life. We bring that vision to life through our values and culture. Learn more about Target here.

Roundel is Target’s entry into the media business; an advertising sell-side business built on the principles of first party (people based) data, brand safe content environments and proof that our marketing programs drive business results for our clients. We operate with the ethos of trust and transparency and that media works best when it works in everyone’s best interest. At the very root of that, Roundel is here to drive business growth for our clients and redefine “value” in the industry by solving core industry challenges vs. copy current industry methods of operation. We are here to drive a key growth initiative for Target and to lead the industry to a better way of operating within the media marketplace.

As a Senior Manager on the Performance and Insights team supporting Commercial Intelligence, you will also help build trusted data foundations and scalable intelligence capabilities that power analytics and decision making across Roundel. Responsibilities:

  • Identify recurring intelligence needs that can be standardized, automated, or scaled.

  • Drive work streams & decision making with a "general manager" mindset. Support leadership in developing and executing against our long-term strategic plans, including the Commercial Intelligence and data strategy roadmap, priority data needs, trusted business definitions, and analytical foundations.
  • Incubate and advance new analytical and AI capabilities by identifying, prototyping, validating, and scaling opportunities that improve the accuracy, usefulness, and accessibility of intelligence across Roundel.
  • Drive adoption and business value by measuring usage, productivity, quality, trust, workflow impact, and business value, and using those insights to evolve priorities and increase adoption of trusted intelligence capabilities.

About you…

  • Four-year degree or equivalent experience
  • 7+ years of relevant experience in Digital Media, Agency, Marketing, Retail, Data/Analytics, or Business Intelligence
  • 2+ years of direct people leadership experience or extensive cross-functional team leadership experience
  • Strong analytical, decision-making, project management, and communication skills
  • Comfortable with ambiguity; an ability to manage and adjust to multiple priorities on the fly
  • Demonstrated experience in process optimization and management of multiple large scale projects
  • Strategic mindset and bias for action with strong ability for strategic planning, defining OKRs and driving business outcomes
  • Experience with adtech and martech and ability to facilitate communication between business and product teams

  • Experience with BI and visualization platforms such as Power BI, Looker, Tableau, or equivalent.
  • Experience applying AI and automation to analytical workflows.
  • Understanding of data governance, semantic definitions, and analytical data quality.
  • Ability to partner with Product, Data Science, and business teams while bringing strong analytical and business context.
  • Ability to communicate analytical concepts and recommendations to senior non-technical audiences.
  • Passion for innovation, simplification, and challenging existing analytical workflows.
