Every year, our internship applications open each fall for programs that start the following summer. 

Software engineering internship 

Code alongside the brightest technical minds in retail to develop, build and test new tools that shape a world class shopping experience for our guests and transform the future of retail.  

Associate buyer internship 

Activate your passion for merchandise to learn the art and science behind creating an unparalleled shopping experience for our guests — sharpen your assortment analysis instinct and ability to foster relationships with the largest vendors in the world.   

Operations manager internship 

Cultivate the leadership skills necessary to lead, motivate and influence a team or department to solve global management challenges and increase Target’s supply chain efficiency.   

Store executive team leader internship 

Gain a valuable preview of how to be a leader in our stores while also getting insight into how to drive guest experience and impact your store’s financial, team and operational performance. 

Financial analyst development internship 

Be an integral partner in implementing strategies that result in Target’s unparalleled shopping experience, formulating analyses and recommendations in sales, operations and beyond. 

Inventory analyst internship 

Assess how we work to deliver products to our guests anytime and anywhere while gaining valuable insights on negotiating and maintaining business relationships with our vendor partners around the world. 

Marketing associate internship 

Spark your creative juices — go behind-the-scenes to learn how our brand experience comes to life through compelling campaigns developed across Target’s Creative Studio, Merchandising teams, external agencies, media outlets and more.   

Digital internship – product owner or user experience 

Collaborate with Marketing, Merchandising, and other partners to create and implement the digital strategies that enrich the online experience through the right mix of personalization, simplicity and intuitiveness. 

Data sciences internship 

Observe how data scientists, engineers and analysts design the technology that powers Target's personalization capabilities —from product recommendations to advertising— while enhancing your data modeling chops.  

Space and presentation business partner internship 

Design innovative ways to present products at shelf and allocate store space in ways that create breathtaking shopping experiences for our guests — grow your partnership acumen with the teams and vendors that make it possible. 

Leadership development rotational internship 

Build meaningful leadership skills and grow business empathy through challenging cross-functional experiences. Drive meaningful outcomes spanning finance, merchandising and stores throughout this 10-week rotational internship. 

Arrows internship 

Become a future supply chain leader through an internship program that guides you through solving complex problems and designing new and innovative solutions to transform Target’s global supply chain and logistics. You will be helping to solve a project related to our current business priorities, while gaining valuable experience in our supply chain network distribution centers. Build your network and contribute to the future of our supply chain initiatives through problem solving and practical application at our sites and within field operations.

Target arrows supply chain leadership development program (MBA/graduate program) 

Become a future supply chain leader through this three-part rotational program that guides you through solving complex problems and designing new and innovative solutions to transform Target’s global supply chain and logistics. Through hands-on experience, presentations and customized development, you will improve your end-to-end knowledge in all areas of supply chain, logistics and operations, while building an extensive internal network. 

Leadership development rotational program (MBA program)

Join our two-year rotational program and development curriculum designed to build enterprise empathy by learning business functions outside the traditional career path. As a future leader, you will develop what it takes to achieve cross functional influence and drive meaningful outcomes spanning finance, merchandising and stores.  

Finance leadership development program (MBA/graduate program) 

Master the finance vertical by leveraging an opportunity to grasp the inner workings of Target’s business as a member of two finance teams with intense exposure to various business units. Within this three-year accelerated program, you will receive exclusive leadership development training and act as a senior manager and business partner for internal clients such as Merchandising, Stores, Advertising, Supply Chain, Property Development and Technology Services.

Women in Technology Symposium  

This multi-day event focuses on empowerment, professional development, and celebrating aspiring women in technology.  Attendees will engage in job shadows with Target engineers, tech talks led by Target Tech leaders, a hackathon, career workshops, and more! Attendees will also have the opportunity to interview for Target’s Summer internship program. 

Diversity Leadership Symposium 

The multi-day event focuses on diversity and inclusion, development, the retail industry, and internship opportunities at Target.   Attendees engage in professional development activities, learn about Target and network with the team, and interview for intern opportunities (for the summer the following year) within a specific profile of their choosing: Merchandising, Marketing, Technology, Finance, Stores, Chain/Headquarters or Supply Chain/Facilities.
