Position Overview:

As a Senior Engineer, you will serve as a technical specialist within the engineering team that supports the product. You will play a key role in developing robust, scalable systems and influencing your team through architectural and design guidance. You are expected to apply your deep technical skills and leadership to help the team deliver high-quality software aligned with strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as a subject matter expert in software engineering, system architecture, and scalable system design.
• Translate abstract architecture concepts into concrete designs and implementations.
• Apply appropriate software engineering patterns to build robust, maintainable systems.
• Develop and maintain deep knowledge of current and emerging technologies within your area of specialization.
• Participate in evaluating new technologies, considering factors such as technical viability, maintainability, and total cost of ownership.
• Initiate and lead research or proof-of-concept efforts for new technologies.
• Lead and conduct code reviews, design reviews, testing, and debugging at the application level.
• Drive and contribute to the design, lifecycle management, and total cost of ownership of services.
• Lead functional design and architecture discussions with a deep understanding of process flows and system diagrams.
• Collaborate in both routine and complex construction, automation, and implementation efforts, ensuring compliance with architectural and operational best practices.
• Provide technical oversight and mentor peers in resolving complex technical challenges.
• Lead disaster recovery planning and execution efforts.
• Promote and embed data quality protocols throughout data acquisition, processing, storage, and operational use.
• Manage product financials and forecasting as part of broader product ownership.

About you:

• Expert knowledge of computer science, with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms, software design & architecture.
• Technical skills: Java, SpringBoot, Micro services, API development, React.JS, Postgres, MongoDB, NoSQL, Kafka, Redis, Docker, CICD or similar tech stack to build the platform.
• Experience with object oriented and/or functional programming paradigm, design pattern, testing pattern and proficiency in Java.
• Deliver high-performance, scalable, repeatable, and secure deliverables with broad impact.
• Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements.
• Stays current with new and evolving technologies via formal training and self-directed education.
• Work with peers across teams to support and leverage a shared technical stack.
• Review team member's work and share knowledge.
• Strong sense of ownership and accountability.
• Excellent communication skills
