Since March, we’ve rolled out dozens of safety measures to help our guests and teams stay healthy during the pandemic. And just in time for the holidays, we’re adding more new safety features on top of those, plus enhancements across our contactless same-day pickup and delivery services. Take a look:
Our newest safety measures in stores
In addition to the many processes already in place to let guests shop comfortably, our new options let you:
Enjoy contactless payment. Already love using the Target app’s “Wallet” mobile payment option to pay contact-free at our cash registers? Get the same speedy experience at self-checkout stations – no picking up the hand scanner required. When you’re done scanning your items, just scan your Wallet barcode in the product scanning area to complete the transaction.
Skip the checkout line. We’ve equipped team members with 1,000 more handheld MyCheckout devices at stores across the country to help you check out from anywhere inside the store.
Make a shopping reservation. Visit Target.com/line to see if there’s a line outside your store and if so, instantly reserve your spot.
Enhancing our same-day services
We’re investing to make our same-day services faster and safer, so you can get your purchases contact-free in as soon as one hour, no membership fee required. Enhancements this season include:
Double the number of Drive Up spots. That’s nearly 8,000 additional parking spaces across the country.
Drive Up is easier and more socially distanced. Instead of a barcode scan, simply show your app with the personal ID number through the car window.
Plans change? No problem. Just use the Target app to adjust your preference between Order Pickup and Drive Up in real time.
Plus, check off even more of your holiday list—from gifts to meal prep supplies—now that fresh and frozen grocery is available nationwide through Order Pickup and Drive Up services. And if you need a hand with holiday styles for the family, you can now add Target kids’ and adult apparel to your Shipt order and have it delivered to your door in as little as one hour.
