Team Target, your presence is a gift! And to say thank you for all you do for our guests, communities and each other during our busiest time of year, the Bullseye is rewarding hourly team members in store, service center and supply chain positions, as well as select headquarters positions and seasonal team members with an extra $2 per hour for each hour worked during peak moments through the holiday season.
In a note to Team Target this morning, chief human resources officer Melissa Kremer said, "This team continues to be at the heart of our strategy. You have shown up consistently for our guests and one another with a tremendous amount of care and we know this busy holiday season will be no different. This is just one more way of expressing our deep gratitude for your significant contributions. Thank you for the many ways you bring joy to all families and for all you do to make Target a place where we can care, grow and win together."
Here's how it will work. Team Members will receive an additional $2 per hour for each hour worked on the dates listed below:
- For hourly store, select headquarter, and service center team members: Every Saturday and Sunday from Nov. 20 – Dec. 19, plus Friday, Dec. 24 and Sunday, Dec. 26.
- For hourly supply chain team members: For a two-week period (varied based on building) from Oct. 10 to Dec. 18.
There's more in store
This season, Target is helping to spread even more holiday cheer to team members: more hours, pay, training and flexibility. For our current store team members, we're offering an additional 5 million hours, which adds up to more than $75 million in pay throughout the holiday season. And through a new mobile scheduling app, they can conveniently add or swap shifts that align with their schedules. We're also hiring an additional 100,000 seasonal team members at stores across the country to support our team during this extra busy time (and many of those team members will have the opportunity to stay on board after the holidays).
And on top of that: we're adding 30,000 positions to our supply chain facilities nationwide to help make it even easier for guests to get what they need, when they need it.
These investments build on our year-round support for all team members through industry-leading starting pay, benefits, training and career growth opportunities. That includes our $15 minimum starting pay, the most comprehensive debt-free education assistance program in the retail industry, multiple recognition bonuses over the past 18 months, and numerous pandemic-related benefits that have now become permanent offerings like backup daycare.
Stay tuned for more throughout the season on how Target is the most rewarding place to work this holiday season and all year long.
