Amy Tu is the executive vice president and chief legal and compliance officer and corporate secretary for Target Corporation. In her role, Amy oversees all legal, compliance and corporate governance functions for the company. She is also a member of Target’s leadership team.
Amy started her corporate career with senior legal roles at Walmart, the Gap, and Boeing. At Boeing, she held leadership roles in law and corporate development and strategy, including chief counsel for global law affairs and the commercial airplanes and aviation services businesses. Following her tenure there, Amy served as chief legal officer and secretary at Tyson Foods. She has experience leading numerous critical corporate functions, including law, ethics and compliance, government affairs, internal audit, food safety, quality assurance and corporate affairs.
Amy also has substantial global experience, leading multi-billion-dollar businesses, building and developing international teams, and setting direction for corporate development and strategy. Most recently, she served as president of Tyson’s international business with 19,000 team members operating in 16 countries and serving customers in more than 140 countries.
Amy earned her Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Arkansas School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from Wellesley College. In 2023, she received the Citation of Distinguished Alumni award from the University of Arkansas. Amy serves on the board of the Clinton School of Public Service.
