Target plans to hire 80,000 to 90,000 seasonal team members to staff its stores and distribution centers across the U.S. this holiday season. Hiring for Target’s seasonal holiday positions began in July for distribution centers and October for stores. We will continue to hire through December. Target is looking for team members who can deliver excellent service to guests and help make their experience in our stores positive and welcoming. We are looking to fill a variety of hourly positions in our store locations, such as sales floor team members, cashiers and backroom staff. In our distribution centers, we are hiring warehouse workers. Interested applicants can visit Target.com/careers for more information on local openings. In addition to hiring seasonal team members, Target stores look for opportunities for current team members to take on additional hours or cross-train to work in other areas. Target has been hiring throughout the year, and we account for retention of current team members when hiring during the holiday season. Last year, approximately 30 percent of our seasonal team members stayed with Target for year-round positions.
