Fitness entrepreneur and designer Cassey Ho launched her Blogilates home fitness line exclusively at Target in 2021. Now we’re expanding our partnership with Cassey to include new Blogilates for Target apparel ... the most highly requested collaboration from Cassey’s community of 19 million social media followers. The collection of tops, skorts, shorts, sports bras and more incorporates Cassey’s trademark focus on functionality (pockets!) and romantic details like ruffles and tulle ... all $40 and under. Whether you’re heading to a Pilates class or chilling on your couch, Cassey’s new line is designed to help you look, feel and perform your best, at an only-at-Target value.
We caught up with Cassey to learn more about what inspires her, her design process and what’s in her Target cart.
Your fans asked you to bring an apparel collection to Target. How did you decide which products to include in your Blogilates for Target line?
I knew that the collection needed to have some of my most viral designs I’ve created over the years. I wanted to do a fun, more affordable take on them for Target and it’s a good thing because those designs — the Ballerina Skort, the Marshmallow Hoodie and the Travel Trousers — are now the top styles from the collection.
You work closely with your online community to meet their needs and requests through the products you create. Can you give an example?
With the creation of Blogilates for Target, I was finally able to solve two problems for my community: 1) affordability and 2) fans can now go in and try on things in a Target store and buy them at Target!
What makes Target and Blogilates a good match?
I love Target. Price, fashion, store aesthetic — the merchandise is just so cute. To be given the opportunity to have Blogilates for Target displayed right when you walk through the front door is an honor because it means there’s alignment between the two brands. Clearly we’re a great match because people are responding so positively to the partnership!
The Blogilates for Target Ballerina Skort is an example of the feminine designs you’re known for, but it also has pockets. Tell us about your design process.
It begins with identifying a need, then solving for it while figuring out how to make it look cute. The Ballerina Skort is special because she is the sister to the viral Pirouette Skort from [my other brand] Popflex, famously worn by Taylor Swift. I wanted to do a fun take on it for Blogilates for Target. I kept everything that made the original so special: deep pockets, inner shorts, a twirly mesh tiered outer skirt. Then I added our crisscross band (that’s on all our leggings and flares) — marrying our viral skort with our viral waistband. The combination proved to be a winner.
Any favorite items or details in the Blogilates for Target collection?
So much love and thought went into every single detail. My absolute favorite thing was seeing it all come to life in store. It was such an emotional moment for me.
Do you have a health or fitness tip our readers can incorporate into their own daily routines?
It’s not always about crushing the toughest workouts. Movement that brings you joy is key!
What’s in your Target basket?
