A sign atop a building reads Morrison’s Corn-Kits. Flags flap in the wind.

Letters scroll before landing on Denton. The sun shines on the Denton water tower. A woman drives her SUV and pulls into a parking spot in front of a Target store. She climbs out.

WOMAN: All right, we're here. Let's have a great day.

She greets fellow employees by the entrance.

WOMAN: Good morning! ‘Cause your lip gloss is popping today is going to be a great day on purpose.

A man interviews in front of the store.

ONSCREEN TEXT:    MITCH S.

                                    EXECUTIVE TEAM LEAD

                                    DENTON

MITCH: Started with Target in 2006. Denton has definitely evolved. When I was growing up, it was a small, quaint town. Denton is ever-growing right now.

A sign reads ♥︎ Denton North. Mitch sits on a park bench, then bumps fists with a fellow employee.

MAN: How are you doing, man?

MITCH: Well, how are you?

MAN: Everything good. Everything going OK?

The woman who parked her SUV out front walks through the store and lifts a radio.

WOMAN: If you can hear my voice clap one time.

ONSCREEN TEXT:    LASHON H.

                                    STORE DIRECTOR

                                    DENTON

LASHON: I've been with Target for 4 and 1/2 years now. Life brought me to Target. Mother of 4, grandmother of two. I had to make some decisions for us. So, leap of faith brought me to Target and the journey has been amazing.

She claps with a group of employees. A man interviews.

ONSCREEN TEXT:    RICHARD S.

                                    PROPERTY MANAGEMENT LEAD

                                    DENTON

RICHARD: There's a lot of history right here that maybe nobody knows or thinks about anymore. Every morning when I drive in, I come in on 35W.

A sign reads Courthouse on the Square. Arrows point the way to City Hall Main, Emily Fowler Library, and Chamber of Commerce. The store lights turn on above the assembled employees.

LASHON: Let there be light.

MITCH: I honestly didn't see career. I didn't think career. I had an executive team lead that I looked up to a lot. I saw where I wanted to go and started thinking career with Target.

Mitch strolls between warehouse shelves. Richard walks with a fellow employee, then interviews.

RICHARD: So you're in school? We get really talented, good people out of the colleges that come and work for us.

A TWU banner hangs on a lamppost. Students sit on a college campus.

LASHON: Being a college campus store, we're not necessarily on campus, but we're so close we have to show up for them the way we show up for everyone that's around us. We can show up for this guest for all of their grocery needs. Everything is affordable and then the joy can be given when you walk through our departments in our store.

Views take in the produce section and travel down an aisle. Guests leave notes on a board that reads “We’re excited to be here. What’s your favorite thing about your community?”

RICHARD: Everything is still evolving and yet it's still the same. Kind of like Denton itself. It's evolving, but it's still the same.

LASHON: Denton North, we're here. 29…

The gathered employees respond.

EMPLOYEES: 17!

A Bullseye the dog mascot waves, and a little girl jumps up and down with excitement. Lashon starts laughing and waves her hand.

LASHON: I appreciate the team behind me. Thank you. Stop it.
