Global teen-sensation rock band 5 Seconds of Summer partners with Target

MINNEAPOLIS - July 22, 2014

Australian teen rock band 5 Seconds of Summer (5SOS) and Target have partnered to offer guests an exclusive deluxe edition of the global sensation’s self-titled debut studio album. The exclusive Target edition is available in four different colors (red, blue, yellow and white) and includes exclusive tracks, “Tomorrow Never Dies,” “Independence Day,” “Close As Strangers,” and “Out Of My Limit.”

Ahead of the album’s launch, 5SOS visited a Los Angeles area City Target to surprise guests and shoot a tongue-and-cheek video dressed as Target team members.

Formed in 2011, Luke Hemmings, Calum Hood, Ashton Irwin and Michael Clifford gained global status when One Direction invited them to be the opening act of their “Where We Are” tour. Three years and many massive hit singles later (“She Looks So Perfect,” “Don’t Stop,” and “Amnesia”) the band continues its tour with One Direction through fall 2014.

The Target exclusive deluxe edition of “5 Seconds of Summer,” which debuted on July 22, is available on and in stores now.
