The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) had two practice sessions today for Sunday’s Pocono 400 presented by #NASCAR at Pocono Raceway.

P2       Jamie McMurray, No. 1 Banana Boat Chevrolet –  50.297 sec
P19     Juan Pablo Montoya, No. 42 Target Chevrolet –  51.026 sec

P34     Jamie McMurray, No. 1 Banana Boat Chevrolet –   51.407 sec
  • The 2.5-mile tri-oval, known as the Tricky Triangle, was recently repaved.  A select few drivers, including Jamie McMurray, came up here last month to test out the new surface
  • Banana Boat joins as the primary sponsor on McMurray’s No. 1 and is represented with a special orange, blue and white paint scheme this weekend
  • McMurray started from the pole at the 2.5-mile tri-oval in 2005 and best finish was in 2004 and 2008
  • Montoya’s highest start (2010) and finish (2009) at the Tricky Triangle is second
  • McMurray and EGR join NASCAR on SPEED as Twitter reporters for this weekend’s race.  Be sure to follow @JamieMcMurray, @EGRTeams and @NASCARonSPEED for an exclusive, all-access pass of the weekend events at the raceway
  • TNT will have LIVE broadcast of the race this weekend as they begin their summer coverage
  • Qualifying is tomorrow at 11:10 am ET and will air on SPEED. Montoya will go out 26th and McMurray 43rd
The Pocono 400 presented by #NASCAR will air live Sunday, June 10 on TNT and radio stations affiliated with MRN at 1:00 pm ET.
