It’s been nearly six months since our fave foodie debuted the Cravings by Chrissy Teigen collection exclusively at Target. But we’re all hungry for more—and Chrissy’s not holding back. Her latest pieces just arrived, and they’re good. Think pretty melamine plates that are perfect for patio season, rustic wooden serveware and plenty of gold touches, all at an incredible value (seriously, the plates start at just $2.99 and the gold-accented wooden bowl is $39.99). To celebrate, we got Chrissy to spill the inspo behind the line, reveal her can’t-live-without-‘em favorites and share a peek into her Mother’s Day plans. Take a look:

Hi, Chrissy! It’s been a minute since you launched Cravings by Chrissy Teigen. What’s the best part about seeing your brand on Target shelves?
I've gone from being a model for a Target ad as a little girl to having my own line on Target’s shelves. Talk about the American dreaaaaam. Having my cookware play a small part in people's kitchens, on their tables and in their lives makes me feel like we're all cooking in my home together.

What’s the inspiration behind your latest pieces?
As my go-to chef for all my favorite comfort foods, my mom (“Thai Mom,” more famously known as @pepperthai2) has been such a big influence on my flavor palette and all things Thai culture. So when it came time for my line, I really wanted to include items from that side of me.

Collage of images featuring a mortar and pestle, cutting board and wooden bowlTake the new mortar and pestle, for example. So many memories from my childhood revolve around hearing my mom mash away in the kitchen, making her famous papaya salad. Whether I’m cracking peppercorns, turning herbs into a beautiful rub or pounding garlic, this tool gets so much love (and is a great stress reliever) in my house. The wooden cutting block is also a household staple for us. Thais will just cut the branch or trunk of a tree into thick circular sections and use that as a cutting board—I just took a more modern spin on it. I couldn't imagine a more beautiful piece for chopping or displaying food. And I absolutely love this wooden bowl, too. I usually fill it with lemons to brighten up my kitchen, but John loves to serve my spinach orzo salad in it.

Which items are your favorites? And what glorious dishes are they helping you create?
John and I are homebodies, so I will almost always vote to have people over than to go out. For appetizers or desserts, I'll have my lazy susan out (it’s perfect for charcuterie, too) or I'll toss a big salad in my gold bowl. (This one’s inspired by bazaar-type shops with pieces stacked high with their own individual nicks, dents, flecks of paint.) For the main course, I always reach for my stoneware white dinner plates and bowls—a go-to from the collection’s debut. Nothing makes me feel more like a chef than plating food on these beautiful plates. Food photographs really well on these, FYI.Collage of images featuring a lazy susan, white ceramic serveware and a gold serving bowlSince the collection’s setting just in time for Mother’s Day, we have to ask… what’s your ideal way to celebrate?
I love being home with the kids (I know, I'm officially a mom now). Luna's at such a fun age and we have the best time together. We'll decorate cupcakes together or she'll take pictures of everyone (yes, she will take photos with an actual camera and she'll direct everyone on where to stand, who should be in the photo and everything) or we'll sit and watch Coco twenty times. Miles is just a sweetheart. He's very mild-mannered and calm, which is very different from Lu, who is such a firecracker. Watching the two of them interact makes my heart melt. And then, there's John... in the backyard, taking swim lessons. That's my average, hectic day, but I would have to say it's my "ideal" way to spend Mother’s day.

And what about Pepper? What’s on her Mother’s Day wish list?
Oh man, Mom likes anything flashy. Give her flashy jewelry or a loud, patterned top, and she is into it. She's also been into technology lately, so something like that. She'll wear her AirPods (mind you, she's not listening to anything) and go around taking videos with her selfie stick. That's Pepper, but I wouldn't change her one bit.
