The pay range is $87,000.00 - $156,000.00

 A role in Finance Capabilities means partnering with Finance, Technology, and data & analytics leaders to co-create solutions that maximize business value and enable key strategies that are critical to the enterprise and for the experiences we create for our guests. Truly an owner and expert of your revenue accounting solutions and underlying processes, you will set the vision, align on the roadmap and mobilize your team and partner teams to deliver needed outcomes.  

 Product Teams at Target are accountable for the delivery of business outcomes enabled through technology and analytic products that are easy to use, easily maintained and highly reliable. Product teams have one shared backlog that is inclusive of all product, technology, discovery and design work.  

The Wholesale Revenue Product is responsible for discovering, designing, and delivering solutions that optimize, automate, and scale revenue and margin accounting processes for Target’s wholesale business. This wholesale business is an exciting growth opportunity for Target to expand our reach through partnerships with other retailers to bring our industry-leading owned brands to new markets. The accounting processes to support this new business will largely leverage SAP technology to deliver the optimal solutions and deliver against our strategic goals. The Global Financial Accounting and the Merchandising Owned-Brand organizations are key stakeholders of this product, though collaboration across broader Finance will be key to achieving the required outcomes. 

 As a Product Manager, you will work in the product model and will collaborate with our product team and key stakeholders to develop a plan and business objectives (OKRs) for your respective product. You will need to develop a strong knowledge of your product, accounting and controls standards, as well as customer feedback and establish other relevant data points to assess value, develop business cases, and prioritize the direction and desired outcomes for your product. You will lead a product and work in unison with engineers, UX designers, data scientists and business partners to deliver a product. 

 You will be the “voice of the product” to key stakeholders to ensure their needs are met, and that the product team is getting the direction and support it needs to be successful. You will maintain a product roadmap and backlog while prioritizing the backlog to focus on the highest impact work for your team and stakeholders.  

 You will encourage the open exchange of information and viewpoints to achieve challenging goals and high standards of performance while committing to the organization's direction. You will foster a sense of urgency to achieve goals and leverage resources to overcome unexpected obstacles, and partner with product teams across the organization to help them achieve their goals while pursuing and completing yours.

About you:

  • Four-year degree or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of Finance/Accounting experience
  • 3+ years of product management experience or equivalent experience
  • Experience working with SAP product-supported wholesale and accounting solutions
  • Experience working in an agile environment (e.g., user stories, iterative development, scrum teams, sprints, personas)
  • Strong communication skills with ability to communicate milestones and roadmaps and facilitate communication between business and technology teams
  • Curious and driven to understand end-to-end processes and business impact
  • Problem-solving skills with ability to break down ambiguous, complex problems to root causes allowing incremental value delivery

This position will operate as a Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement based on Target’s needs. A Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement means the team member’s core role will need to be performed both onsite at the Target HQ MN location the role is assigned to and virtually, depending upon what your role, team and tasks require for that day.
