The pay range is $73,000.00 - $132,000.00

Marketplace New Business Development Manager, Onboarding, is responsible for onboarding new partners and helping them ramp their business on the platform, staying consistent with Marketplace goal of delivering a high-quality marketplace. On the Marketplace team you will own the critical early phase of the partner lifecycle by managing a portfolio of partners and providing coaching and education to help them successfully ramp up their new business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Independently manage a portfolio of new partners at different stages of their onboarding journey, delivering required training and providing coaching and education to successfully launch on Target.com
  • Drive Partner’s progress towards completion of onboarding milestones (including item launch, fulfillment setup and operational readiness) on specific timelines, proactively monitor progress and define improvement tactics to drive speed to launch
  • Navigate Partner’s success on the Marketplace by determining Partner’s business goals, building onboarding ramp and go-to-market plans, and effectively transition partners to the Strategic Account Management team post-onboarding
  • Collaborate with multiple teams including Item, Acquisition, Site Experience and Partner Growth & Management to devise and execute category strategy, this includes assessing the Marketplace business goals against current and incoming partner pipeline, and prioritizing effectively
  • Manage to resolution issues that may arise during the onboarding process, effectively troubleshooting independently and leveraging internal resources to find solutions

About You:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of combined experience in retail or ecommerce marketplace required, with demonstrated understanding of retail fundamentals
  • Experience managing portfolio of external vendors/partners strongly preferred
  • Exceptional organizational skills, including effective prioritization, and proven ability to independently manage multiple projects and accounts simultaneously
  • Ownership mindset, results-oriented and bias for action
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with, and influence partners, and effectively collaborate with internal stakeholders
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to interact with mid-level leaders within and outside of the organization

This position will operate as a Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement based on Target’s needs. A Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement means the team member’s core role will need to be performed both onsite at the Target HQ MN location the role is assigned to and virtually, depending upon what your role, team and tasks require for that day.
