Then you’ll have success on the Digital Strategy & Platform team, whose goal is to offer guests a seamless online shopping experience across our platforms—including Target.com and the store network’s fulfillment capabilities. Here, you’ll collaborate to create and implement the digital strategies that enrich the online experience through the right mix of personalization, simplicity and intuitiveness. Your ideas will support Target in complementing the beloved in-store shopping interaction with a convenient, reliable and instantly gratifying digital experience.

Role overview:

As a Product Manager - Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Operations, you will support initiatives that accelerate organic traffic and improve the overall effectiveness of SEO strategy through scalable execution, reporting, and insight generation. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, operational rigor, and a passion for uncovering patterns and trends that lead to growth opportunities.

You will partner closely with SEO strategy leads, product teams, content owners, and analytics to identify technical and content-driven enhancements, surface insights from traffic patterns, and support A/B testing and measurement efforts. This role is critical to unlocking and tracking SEO value across Target’s digital surfaces.

Responsibilities

  • Support execution of SEO operations across metadata, structured data, canonical tags, and internal linking initiatives.
  • Monitor and analyze traffic trends, rankings, and performance metrics across key site sections and landing pages.
  • Develop scalable processes and documentation for recurring SEO audits and issue detection.
  • Surface insights and performance patterns to inform prioritization of SEO roadmap and content strategy.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners to assess SEO impact of site changes and feature launches.
  • Partner with engineering and product teams to define and QA technical requirements for SEO enhancements.
  • Contribute to automation of SEO data pipelines, dashboards, and reporting tools.

About You:

  • Four-year degree or equivalent experience
  • 4 years of Product Management experience
  • 2–4 years of experience in SEO, digital analytics, or e-commerce operations.
  • Familiarity with SEO tools such as Google Search Console, Screaming Frog, SEMrush, or similar.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience in Excel, SQL, or Python preferred.
  • Comfort working with large datasets and translating data into actionable insights.
  • Understanding of web technologies including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a collaborative mindset.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience working with enterprise websites or retail/e-commerce SEO a plus.
