Target’s popular one-of-a-kind giving program is back for a second year. This time, we’re inviting guests to help us allocate a $5 million donation to schools across the U.S. to help them get more of the things they need, like electronics, school and office supplies, and storage and organization products.

Beginning Aug. 14, guests can visit Target’s Facebook page to access the app and vote for a school of their choice once per week. Once a school has received 25 votes, Target will donate $1 per vote, with a maximum donation of $10,000 per school. The campaign runs through Sept. 30, or until the full $5 million has been allocated, so don’t forget to vote each week and share the news with friends, family, teachers and other community members. For best performance, use a mobile device or a Google Chrome web browser to access the app.

As if that’s not exciting enough, these five celebrity friends of Target will be helping to rally votes for schools:

  • LaLa Anthony, actress and television personality
  • Luke Bryan, country music recording artist and 2013 Academy of Country Music “Entertainer of the Year”
  • Sophia Bush, award-winning actress and activist
  • Gabrielle Douglas, U.S. gymnast and 2012 two-time Gold Medal Olympic All-Around champion
  • Donald Driver, Super Bowl and “Dancing With The Stars” champion and community advocate

Check out the Give With Target Yearbook at A Bullseye View, Target’s online magazine, to learn more about how they’ll support the program. At the end of the campaign, the school that reaches 10,000 votes first or receives the highest number of votes will get a special celebration, including appearances by members of the Give With Target “Class of 2013,” a live musical performance and more.

Give With Target is part of our commitment to give $1 billion for education by the end of 2015. Visit the Education pages to learn more about Target’s commitment to helping more kids stay on the path to high school graduation.
