Hear sleigh bells in the distance? The holidays are on the horizon, and with another strong financial quarter under our belts, Target’s amazing team members are getting their game faces on for the busy shopping season ahead. To make sure we’re staffed and ready to bring every guest joyful moments with their families no matter when, where or how they shop, we’re opening up more than 130,000 exciting seasonal jobs across our stores and supply chain.

So if you think you’d be a great fit for our team, now’s the perfect time to join. Check out and apply for the available roles over at TargetSeasonalJobs.com.

“We’re so excited to start welcoming our new seasonal hires, and give them opportunities to train and prepare with the rest of our team as we head into the busy holiday season,” says Melissa Kremer, chief human resources officer. “Getting an early start with those preparations made a big difference for us last year, and it’s a great way to get the entire Target team pumped up for the most fun and exciting time of the year.”

What kinds of roles are we looking to fill? There’s a variety of skills needed, from interacting with guests, to making sure things run smoothly behind the scenes.

At our 1,800+ Target stores
We’re looking to hire 125,000 seasonal team members at our stores across the country this year, with all positions starting at $13 an hour or more. Our store team members play a leading role in bringing our guests ease, convenience and inspiration as they shop—from picking out gifts and décor, to keeping all the must-have products in stock. And with more guests than ever using Target’s popular same-day services like Order Pickup and Drive Up, we’ll double the number of team members focused on fulfilling orders from our stores.

At our distribution centers
This year, we’ll hire about 8,000 seasonal team members at our 39 distribution and fulfillment centers across the country. These important roles include processing freight to stores and fulfilling Target.com orders, including receiving, packing and loading, to make sure products reach our guests quickly.

What’s in it for you?
So much good stuff. In addition to our competitive wage, all hourly team members—including seasonal hires—enjoy a range of benefits, such as:

  • A 10% discount at Target stores and on Target.com
  • An additional 20% wellness discount off fresh and frozen fruits and vegetables, Good & Gather Organic (beginning Sept. 15), C9 and Up & Up tobacco cessation products
  • The opportunity to earn holiday pay on Thanksgiving and Christmas
  • Flexible schedules which allow team members to work a variety of hours

And get this—our work.win.give. appreciation program is back for the second year in a row. This year, we’re investing a total $2 million dollars to bring a little extra joy to our teams and their communities. At each of our stores, distribution and fulfillment centers, two hourly team members will be chosen at random and rewarded with a $250 Target GiftCard and the opportunity to gift a $250 donation to a local organization of their choice.
