Holiday shopping season is officially here—and millions of guests are celebrating as they scoop up Target’s Black Friday deals!
The shopping kicked off Wednesday, when we gave REDcard holders early access to more than 100 of our Black Friday offers on Target.com. In true VIP fashion, they scored major savings on items including the Powerbeats3 Wireless Earphones, Instant Pot 7-in-1 6QT Pressure Cooker, Jetson Rogue Hoverboard, and 23andMe Personal Ancestry Kit.
Bright and early Thanksgiving morning, all Target guests got a chance to shop Black Friday deals on Target.com. And later that day, they lined up at our stores across the country for their annual after-dinner shopping event with friends and family. Doors opened at 5 p.m. with doorbusters across the store.
Check out a few highlights from the day:
- More guests shopped using the Target app, ordering more than double compared to last year.
- Guests snatched up big ticket items like TVs, iPads and Apple Watches.
- Our most popular toy deals included LEGO, L.O.L. Surprise!, Playskool Friends Tickle Me Elmo, Barbie and board games—and our $10 giant plush teddy bears were a hit yet again.
- Gamers picked up video game consoles like Nintendo Switch, Playstation 4, and the Xbox One.
To add convenience, we offered more Black Friday deals for Order Pickup. And guests took notice—placing Order Pickup orders for nearly twice as many items as they did last year. In addition, new this year, our team members helped guests skip the line and check out even faster from anywhere in the store using mobile checkout technology on their handheld devices.
Ready for another round? Our stores open at 7 a.m. local time tomorrow, Nov. 23, with more of the best deals of the season. All day Black Friday, guests who spend $50 in stores or online, or scan the wallet feature in the Target app in stores, get a coupon for 20% off a future shopping trip, good Nov. 27-Dec. 8.
