Target’s A New Day + Vital Voices Collection Pairs Great Design with a Meaningful Cause

The great thing about shopping at Target is there’s always something new to discover. Starting Sept. 29, our guests will find A New Day + Vital Voices, a limited-time collection of women’s apparel, accessories and stationery that combines great design with a meaningful cause: highlighting the work of Vital Voices, a non-profit organization that amplifies the work of female leaders who are bringing about positive change around the world.

Take Jamira, a social impact consultant and activist for youth engagement, criminal justice reform and gun violence prevention. Or Jessica, who co-founded an organization that educates human trafficking survivors into software professionals. These are two examples of the female leaders within the Vital Voices network who inspired the pieces in the collection. Read more about their stories and others.

“Through the A New Day + Vital Voices partnership, we hope to showcase the incredible work of Vital Voices while empowering and celebrating our guests,” said Michelle Mesenburg, senior vice president, marketing, Target. “It gave us the opportunity to think about collaborations differently, and how we pair the great design of one of our popular owned brands with an organization that’s doing incredible work in communities near and far.”

The 25-piece capsule collection will be available at select stores and on Target.com. It features a curated assortment of dresses, skirts, moto jackets, graphic tees, pouches and scarves, as well as notecards, notebooks and pens, all at an exceptional value. Among our favorites? A graphic tee with the words, “Use Your Power to Empower” (pictured above).

Each piece was inspired by Vital Voices’ mission and the stories and personal style of the women it supports.

“For 20 years, Vital Voices has been identifying, training and investing in women who work to create a better world,” said Alyse Nelson, president and CEO, Vital Voices. “We’re excited to work with Target and launch a collection with women’s leadership and empowerment at its core.”

This isn’t Target’s first time teaming up with Vital Voices. We began providing philanthropic support to the organization in 2017, and are building on that relationship this year with a Target grant to support its global leadership program, which offers training and mentoring to emerging women leaders. The grant and limited-time-only collection are two different ways Target is helping advance the work of Vital Voices.
