We know a few things mom might want for Mother’s Day… a relaxing morning, a day of pampering and time spent with the ones she loves the most! While these may not be items you can pick up at the store, Target does have all you need to create a day filled with pampering and love. Just ask husband-and-wife duo Jorge Bernal and Karla Birbragher, who filled us in on what’s on their Mother’s Day (and Father’s Day) gifting wish lists.
As a television host and celebrity stylist, the busy pair also are parents to two young kids, Lucas and Kylie, and know it can be tough to find time to pamper a spouse or parent. That’s why they’ve pulled together their favorite gifting items and springy outfits to set the stage for a stylish holiday.
What’s on your Mother’s Day wish list?
Karla: The tassel slide sandals, the bow espadrille sandals, and the tassel pointed mules. Do you see a trend going? I love shoes! These comfortable and trendy slip-ons go with everything and the colorful details make them an added statement piece to any outfit.
What’s on your Father’s Day wish list?
Jorge: I enjoy receiving clothes for Father’s Day. To me, there’s something special about getting apparel because I feel like that the person who gifted me the clothing went that extra mile to get me something I truly would enjoy. My go-to outfit this summer would definitely be a camp shirt and chino shorts. It’s perfect for dads on-the-go because it offers a comfortable and versatile option that can be dressed up or down depending on the occasion.
What will you be getting for Karla this Mother’s Day?
JB: Weeeeellll... since Karla is a stylist it’s always a challenge to find something that puts a glint in her eye, so my trick is to get her accessories to complement her outfits. I’m thinking a cool fanny pack and some espadrilles for our beach days with the kiddos.
What will you be gifting Jorge this Father’s Day?
KB: My husband is very much into taking care of himself, so this year I definitely will get him grooming and skincare products. I’m excited for him to try the Aloe & Tea Tree Beard & Face Scrub from Pacino’s Shave System since it cleanses and exfoliates while moisturizing at the same time. Dads deserve some pampering too!
