Guests with carts shopping Target's Black Friday deals

UPDATE: Holiday Shopping is On! See Which Hot Deals Guests are Bringing Home

It’s here! Millions of guests turned out for the official start of the holiday shopping season, kicking off the celebration with family and friends and picking up plenty of Target’s hottest deals. The savings started Wednesday, when—new this year—we offered a special sale for REDcard holders, with early access to more than 100 Black Friday Deals. In true VIP fashion, they saved big on popular items including vacuums from Dyson and iRobot, Beats headphones, the Instant Pot 7-in-1 pressure cooker and Ninja coffee maker.

Then, yesterday morning, nearly all of our Black Friday deals became available on Target.com. For added convenience, we offered more deals via Order Pickup than ever. Clearly a hit! By early evening, we'd received more than three times the Order Pickup orders than we did the entire day on Thanksgiving last year. Favorite deals included iPads and watches from Apple, gaming systems including Xbox One and Nintendo Switch, Madden NFL video games and the 34-piece food storage set from Rubbermaid for only $7.

Our stores opened at 6 p.m. Thanksgiving evening to guests lined up for their traditional after-dinner shopping event with friends and family. Guests shopped across the store, from doorbuster deals on big ticket items like TVs, to other popular deals like our $10 sweaters. Check out these highlights for more on how it all breaks down.

  • Our giant plush teddy bears were a hit again. When stores opened at 6 p.m., we were selling about 600 every minute.
  • Game day just got a whole lot bigger. Popular TV deals included the 55" Westinghouse, 50" Samsung, 43" Element and 32" Polaroid.
  • Hope there's plenty of room in those toy boxes. Our most popular toys included the HEXBUG BattleBots Arena, Hatchimals Glittering Garden Hatching Egg, Giant-Sized Jumbling Tower Game, and more from favorite brands like LEGO, Pokémon and NERF.
  • Family game night, anyone? The Watch Ya Mouth Game, Jumanji and Target-exclusive Oregon Trail were the biggest hits with guests.

And the deals aren’t over. Our stores open today at 6 a.m. local time for lots more shopping fun, including one of the best deals of the season—guests who spend $50 on Friday, Nov. 24, will receive 20% off a future holiday shopping trip.

Then, this weekend, Nov. 25 and 26, guests who spend $75 on trim (trees, lights, ornaments, stockings, gift wrap and more in the Wondershop) will save $25, applied at checkout.

Next, gear up for our big Cyber Monday 15% off sitewide sale beginning early the morning of Nov. 27, plus thousands of deals and some of our lowest prices of the year on Target.com throughout Cyber Week (Sunday, Nov. 26 – Saturday, Dec. 2). See the full list here.

Watch for more Weekend Deals throughout November and December, and pile on the savings with an extra 5% off when you use a REDcard, free shipping at Target.com through Dec. 23, and lots more great offers in the Weekly Ad and Cartwheel.
