For the past 50 years, Target mechanic Jim Gerard has been helping Target’s operations run smoothly to ensure guests have the best experience. But this week, we’re putting Jim front and center to cheer a BIG milestone, celebrate his retirement and thank him for all his years of service.

Target has always been a large part of Jim’s life. As a twelve-year-old, he helped his dad with Target inventory before earning a job himself. Through the years, including a stint in the military, he built a career at Target. His favorite part of the gig was the people he met along the way (including his wife!), and having fun with his fellow team members.

But don’t take our word for it, watch the video below to hear Jim share his story.

Celebrating 50 years at Target Play

Thank you for all your hard work over the years, Jim. May the next chapter of your life be as joyful and fulfilling as this one!
