Ayesha Curry’s Cookware Line is Coming to Target—These Are the Deets

Target guests, get ready to fire up your stoves, because chef, cookbook author and TV personality Ayesha Curry’s new line of cookware, bakeware and kitchen tools is coming exclusively to Target for the month of October, before rolling out to other retailers! Guests will have the chance to put their favorite recipes to the test using her cutting board, cast iron skillet, sauce pans, baking dishes and more.

Speaking of recipes, we got an exclusive copy of Ayesha’s Thai-style chicken burger recipe you can make at home using pieces from her new line. We’re willing to bet she’s tested this one out on husband and NBA superstar Stephen Curry once or twice before... Check it out:

Thai Chicken Burgers with Quick Pickled Carrots recipe

Thai Chicken Burgers with Quick Pickled Carrots
Serves: 4

Prep Time: 20
Thai Chicken Burgers. Ingredients
1 lb ground chicken thighs
2 Tbsp. olive oil
3 garlic cloves, minced
1 Tbsp. ginger, minced
2 shallots, minced
1 tsp. Thai red chili pepper, finely minced and deseeded. (optional)
2 tsp. fish sauce
1 Tbsp. honey
1 Tbsp. red curry paste
1 Tbsp. ground coriander
1 Tbsp. salt and pepper
Butter lettuce, for serving
Sliced English cucumber, for serving
Sliced red bell pepper, for serving
4 brioche buns, or preferred type
Lemongrass Mayo, for serving (recipe below)

Directions:
In a large bowl, thoroughly mix the ground chicken with garlic, ginger, shallots, chili, honey, fish sauce, paste, salt, pepper, and coriander. Form mixture into 4 evenly sized burgers. Heat your olive oil in a skillet over medium heat until hot. Cook your bubrgers 4 to 6 minutes per side, until browned and cooked through. Serve on the bun along with desired toppings. 

Lemongrass Mayo
Ingredients:
1 cup mayonnaise
2 Tbsp. sweet chili sauce
1 Tbsp. finely minced lemongrass
1 Tbsp. lime juice
Salt and pepper to taste
Mix all the ingredients together and set aside.

Quick Pickled Carrots
Ingedients:
4 cups water
3 Tbsp. sugar
1 Tbsp. kosher salt
1/2 cup rice vinegar
1 deseeded jalapeno
1 cup rainbow carrots, peeled and sliced

Directions:
In a stockpot combine water, sugar, salt, vinegar, and the jalapeno. Bring to a boil. In a large heat proof bowl add sliced carrots. Once the liquid has come to a boil, remove from heat and discard the jalapeno. Pour hot liquid over your carrots. Allow liquid to cool. Service immediately once chilled or place in the fridge until ready to use.

First off, we have to know how you came up with this delicious burger recipe.
I love experimenting with all kinds of ingredients. So for this recipe, I wanted to make a Thai-style, super-moist burger using ground chicken and infusing it with some of my favorite Thai ingredients. The carameliziation from the honey and the heat from the curry is out of this world! It’s packed with flavor and easy to make. These burgers are totally addictive!

What inspired you to create a line of cookware?
My inspiration comes from my own experience in discovering how satisfying and pleasurable it is to cook in your own kitchen and from wanting to share that passion with others. Often, there’s a lack of confidence in cooking. My hope is that my line of cookware, bakeware and other kitchen products will encourage others to get in the kitchen and see for themselves how effortless and fun cooking can be.

Which of the pieces from the line are your absolute must-haves?
One of my favorite pieces is the cast iron skillet. I use it for everything! It’s great for pancakes and for getting that perfect sear on a nice cut of meat. The best part is, it gets better with time. Everything you cook “seasons the cast iron” and can be enjoyed by generations for years and years. I’m also really excited about my bacon grease jar.

How does it feel knowing that your cookware is going to debut at Target in just a few days?
Saying that this is a dream come true is an understatement. To know that my cookware is going to be next to some of my favorite chefs and at TARGET nonetheless is so surreal. This entire line is a legacy for my girls. There are no ceilings and anything is possible with faith and dedication!

For the month of October, Ayesha Curry’s cookware line will be exclusively available at all Target stores and on Target.com before it becomes widely available starting in November.
