Is it just us or is Kids’ fashion getting cooler and cooler with each passing school year? Take this season’s Cat & Jack and Art Class collections — they’re all about empowerment, celebrating individuality and highlighting chic trends like “boho moto” and “vintage remix.” So when it comes to picking out new back-to-school looks, kids and parents have no shortage of fashion-forward options to choose from.
And to prove just how stylish those first-day-of-school outfits can be, we asked a few of our mommy and kid blogger friends — Shalice Noel, Stella and Blaise, Little Misss Jae and Little Misss Mia— to pull together some looks that allow the kids to express themselves and get amped for the coming school year. Take a look at their outfits of choice and styling tips, below:
Shalice Noel

“My oldest daughter loves anything with glitter, so the metallic options were perfect for her,” said mommy blogger Shalice. “The Cat & Jack metallic backpack and star skirt with the striped shirt will be her go-tos. The second-oldest likes anything sporty. Her first pick was the brightly colored bomber jacket with patched denim. Our son was giddy with the superhero-inspired choices, and was quickly showing off his high-top sneakers with wings. I mean, what's not to like about that cool patched bomber jacket and rocket ship shirt?”
Stella and Blaise

“The boys’ denim jacket caught my eye right away,” said Stella and Blaise’s mom Dana. “The light blue slouchy stretch chinos were a perfect choice to wear with many of Blaise’s many tees. The girls' overalls were a great option for something unique and fun to match Stella's personality. We paired these with the 'Stay Curious' graphic tee as well as the denim bomber jacket that says 'Do Your Own Thing!' on the back."
Little Misss Jae

“When I first saw the fringe harem pants, I knew they were perfect for the look I wanted to create,” said kid blogger Jae. “They’re not only cozy, but also give me the look of ultimate style. I paired the pants with a black tank and added a green vest to add color! The Cat & Jack metallic backpack added the perfect touch to my outfit as well as my cousin Mia’s.”
Little Misss Mia

“I selected an olive-green romper from the Art Class collection because I think it’s a great piece that can go with almost anything,” said kid blogger Mia. “I styled it with a moto vest, which added some edge. And my cousin Jae and I decided to go with a matching backpack that went perfectly with both of our outfits!”
