New jeans laid out together

The summer sun’s still shining and we’re lounging around in sun dresses and shorts, but that doesn’t mean we can’t also be dreaming of denim season. Just take one look at Target’s fall lineup and you’ll understand: it’s loaded with the on-trend, fashion-forward styles you’re going to see everywhere this fall. From new colors to crops to flares … the list is long. With so many options to choose from, we asked Target Stylist Zanna Roberts Rassi to help us navigate Target’s incredible new denim assortment. (She agreed: These looks are good.)

Two-Tone

“Two-tone is the IT denim for this season. Pair for everyday wear with casual tees and tanks or dressy camisoles and heels for a Saturday night out. Two-tone makes for ultimate versatility.”

Raw Hem:

“One of the biggest denim trends that instantly makes any jean cool, raw hems tend to make jeans a bit more casual, so save these for your weekend brunches! Pair with cute summer blouses and your favorite sneakers, or balance the distressed hem by dressing it up.”

Embroidered

“Embroidered denim is a great way to make jeans feel more feminine. I love the idea of a dark base with colorful floral embroidery so it really pops. Wear these to work with a crisp blouse and a pair of heels and you’re good to go.”

Millennial Pink

“Millennial pink is the color of the season! I love a jean in a soft color like this, because it acts as a neutral. I love playing off the color with a neutral, lightweight knit, or a white tee and a clean sneaker.”

Flares:

“Flares work great for curvy girls. Not only do they accentuate the leg and make it look longer, but they’re also extremely flattering and help balance out a curvy figure.”

Crops:

“Crop Flares work great for tall girls. You should have about two inches of your shin showing with a crop flare — it should not hit the top of your foot. Petites, be mindful of this when trying them on!”

Skinnies:

“Skinny jeans work for ALL! My trick with a skinny jean is to have an inch of your ankle showing. It’s still long enough to make your legs look tall and lean but just short enough to make it easier to wear with a variety of shoes — pumps, booties, sandals, sneakers and so on.”
