Target’s big on books—we’ve been serving up great reads for years and our guests still want to spend cash money on books they can page through, borrow out and display. So naturally, we’re always looking for fresh ways to keep book lovers browsing Target’s shelves. Hi there, Skimm Reads.

Here’s how it works… theSkimm team reads (a lot). They separate the so-so from the so good and promote the best books as Skimm Reads in their newsletter and app (this stamp of approval hasn’t let us down yet—the picks are up-all-night good). And now for the #partner part… starting with today's Skimm Reads recommendation, every couple weeks they’ll send Skimm’rs to Target.com to nab the latest pick. First, book nerd-to-book nerds, we have to ask: What are some of your all-time fave reads?
We’re constantly discovering new reads and love sharing them with our Skimm’rs every week. Here are a few recent favorites:

• “The Nest” by Cynthia D'Aprix Sweeney. A beach read with substance. It reminded us of "The Family Stone" except the stone was a trust fund.
• “Americanah” by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie. Part love story, part cultural commentary, this book will get to you. And will also make you want to start a blog.
• “Big Little Lies” by Liane Moriarty. This part thriller, part rom com is about a group of moms with big secrets. Bonus: it's now an HBO show all your friends are talking about starring Reese Witherspoon and Nicole Kidman.

What inspired you to bring Skimm Reads to Target?
Target has what we need when we need it—but also an on point selection of things we want.
