There’s a reason the first edition of Target’s newest kids’ brand of apparel and accessories, Art Class, is so creative and cool: A small group of talented youngsters, known as The Class of 2017, helped design a few key pieces from the line! Already skilled in their fields of dancing, singing, surfing and more, The Class of 2017 showed off their design chops by creating an assortment of Art Class looks that range from spunky graphic tees to flirty jersey dresses.

Since the line was created to encourage kids’ self-expression, just like a real art class, we gave a few members of The Class of 2017 a creative assignment to help us get to know them better. Take a look at their illustrated interviews, below:

The Art Class brand, launching with the Class of 2017 collection, is available in all Target stores and on Target.com. Prices range from $5.99 to $24.99, and new Art Class products will roll out on an ongoing basis every four to eight weeks.
