Alicia Keys and our friend Maren Morris, Daft Punk and The Weeknd... and Carly Rae Jepsen rapping with Lil Yachty? Music fans get ready—Sunday night’s 59th annual GRAMMY Awards promises incredible performances and unexpected collaborations from these stars and more! And keep your eyes open during the commercial breaks. In true TargetStyle, we’ll be bringing fans even more music.

But if you wanna rock right now, read on for a sneak peek at our latest GRAMMYs collaboration: A one-of-a-kind, three-minute commercial featuring pop star Carly Rae Jepsen, hip hop sensation Lil Yachty and producer Mike Will Made-It remaking Rob Base and DJ E-Z Rock’s 1988 hit “It Takes Two.” And there are more big names working behind-the-scenes—award-winning director Roman Coppola and La La Land choreographer Mandy Moore orchestrated the scene.
The premise? Carly and Yachty take over a Target store for an epic dance party, where everyday products transform into instruments, eye candy and more. As the action unfolds, we see that everything gets better when unexpected things come together.
So, what did it take to pull together the fun spot? Almost 700 Swiffers, 3,000 boxes of Bounce, three large sound stages, 150+ crew members—and Bullseye the dog, of course. Ready for a behind-the-scenes peek? Hit it!

“Music has always been a powerful way for us to connect with our guests,” said Rick Gomez, executive vice president and chief marketing officer, Target. "This spot captures the fun of a Target run, the only place where you can stock up on groceries and find the perfect bathing suit, against the backdrop of an unexpected remake of 'It Takes Two.' We couldn’t think of a better place to share it than during the GRAMMYs, music’s biggest night.”
If you can’t get enough of the catchy song, it’s streaming now. And keep those ears perked—our “It Takes Two” remake will show up throughout Spring as we roll out our latest style collection.
